The Terracotta Army
In the 1970s, while drilling wells in the suburbs of Xi’an, farmers stumbled upon the most important archaeological discovery in China: terracotta warriors and horses.
Distributed in three large underground pits, check here built to protect the tomb of the first emperor, there are more than 8,000 life-size soldiers, about 520 horses, more than 100 chariots, and many other non-military figures, all of whom can be traced back to around 280 BC.
Although some were seriously damaged by the passage of time, many of the statues unearthed were carefully reassembled, proving the importance of the emperor and the afterlife.
Grand Palace, Bangkok
Formerly King I of Rome passed through the palace of King V of Rome and was also the site of Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddhist Temple). Present Royal ceremonial complex is the most attractive place in Bangkok.
Half a day is allowed to enjoy the magnificent carvings, gilded teak,check here tile and classical architecture of the three courtyards of the palace, and to visit the interior of the temple. Visitors were asked to wear black and white clothes in memory of the late King Rama IX, who died in 2016.
